Sample One
What person/place/thing inspires you the most
My mom is my inspiration. She was so kind and generous and did so much on her own as a single mother.
Who inspires you? Who do you aspire to be like?
My mom. She was so kind and generous and always thinking about other people and how to make them smile
When you were a kind, who was your biggest hero?
Probably my mom.
There was a clear theme here and I used it. This is what I wrote:
I appreciate those who are kind-hearted and enjoy paying it forward.
Clear, concise and true. It was obvious to me that her answers weren’t solely about her mother, but the qualities in her mother that she most appreciated.
Next step for her is engaging in conversation with potential dates. When someone remarks on her comment she can share a story about her mother or something of that nature.
This type of statement connects values, and if kindness comes up as a conversation topic, she has an opportunity to talk about something she has a passion for, something that will light her up on the inside and express on the outside.
Sample Two
This client consistently brought up his passion for curling as well as his sense of adventure.
What do you like to do when you’re not working?
I enjoy curling, traveling, photography, hiking, indoor rock climbing, watching sports, trying new restaurants & breweries and board games.
What is one thing you really like about yourself?
My adventurous spirit. I’m always planning my next adventure.
What is your favorite way to spend an evening during your workweek?
Usually have dinner and then go Curling at the local curling club or go indoor rock climbing with my friends.
This is what I wrote:
I geek out on
Curling. You’ll find me practicing in my free time and playing in tournaments. It’s such a great game of balance, strategy and mental strength.
I go Crazy for
Travel adventures, and I’m looking forward to having a special someone by my side to create new experiences with. Maybe someone extra special will help me one day get up the nerve to go skydiving!
